The patch can be purchased online, at select stores in town or at the Wellesley Police Department. Since the inception of the Pink Patch Project in 2015, more than 900,000 patches have been sold and more than $1.4 million dollars have been donated to cancer research organizations nationwide.
 
All proceeds will be donated to The Julie Fund for Women’s Cancers. The Julie Fund was started in 2004 when Julie McAvinn, a Wellesley resident, died from ovarian cancer.
